Curriculum

Three subjects, deep expertise

Deb focuses on a narrow range so every student gets someone who truly knows the material — not a generalist racing through a textbook.

K–10 Mathematics

Foundation

Build the foundation right.

Primary and early secondary maths covers the skills every student needs — and where most gaps silently form. Deb works through number sense, fractions, decimals, percentages, geometry, and early algebra to make sure nothing is shaky before moving on.

Number & place value
Fractions, decimals & percentages
Basic algebra & expressions
Geometry & measurement
Graphs & data interpretation
Word problems & reasoning

Years K–10. Great for students falling behind, preparing for exams, or moving schools.

Algebra

Core

Where maths gets abstract — and most students get lost.

Algebra is the turning point for most students. Abstract thinking, variables, and multi-step problems all hit at once. Deb slows it down, connects each new idea to something concrete, and builds fluency through practice rather than memorisation.

Variables & expressions
Solving linear equations & inequalities
Graphing lines & slope-intercept form
Systems of equations
Quadratic equations & factoring
Functions & function notation

Years 7–11. Ideal before or during Algebra 1 / Algebra 2 courses.

Statistics

Senior

Make sense of data. Pass the exam.

Statistics is increasingly important across every discipline — and increasingly tested. Deb covers both the conceptual side (what does this mean?) and the mechanical side (how do I calculate this?) so students can handle any exam question with confidence.

Descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode, range)
Data displays (histograms, box plots, scatter plots)
Probability basics and rules
Normal distribution & z-scores
Correlation & simple linear regression
Introduction to hypothesis testing

Years 9–12 and university foundation courses.
